Why We Started
Our organization was founded to address the growing need for practical career guidance, mentorship, and workforce readiness opportunities for young people entering adulthood. Through partnerships with local businesses, educators, skilled trades professionals, and community leaders, we provide resources and support that help participants achieve personal and professional success.
Foundation Established
Future Forward Opportunity Foundation was founded to address the growing need for practical career guidance and mentorship for young people.
Flagship Program Launch
Launch of the Future Forward Trades & Career Mentorship Program with goals to mentor 25 young adults.

Meet Our Founder
Hunter Oberst
Founder & President
Hunter Oberst is an entrepreneur, construction professional, and sales leader with extensive experience in workforce development, business operations, customer service, and leadership. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with homeowners, business owners, trades professionals, and community members, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges many young adults face when pursuing career opportunities and financial independence.
As a former business owner and current sales leader in the home improvement industry, Hunter has developed a passion for mentorship, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and workforce development. He has witnessed the life-changing impact that guidance, education, and career opportunities can have on young people and believes every individual deserves access to the resources needed to succeed.
Hunter founded Future Forward Opportunity Foundation to help bridge the gap between education and opportunity by providing mentorship, skilled trades exposure, career readiness training, financial literacy education, entrepreneurship development, scholarships, and workforce development programs.
